Flew out of Jersey to Sleap but took a weather diversion to Sandown. Dan epitomised the very finest traditions of GA help and assistance. He spoke to his friends at Gracellie Hotel who had yet to open up the hotel for the season. Gracellie opened the hotel for us prior to the season-opening this Saturday, Dan then went on to drive my wife and I to the hotel he would not accept any landing fees or anything else for running around and sorting out the hotels. I am not able to commend Dan with sufficient praise.
This is not the first time and not the last time I have visited Sandown.
