What should our expectations be for the delivery of LAA Mag?

Post by Flying John » Wed Dec 06, 2023 1:25 pm

I would be interested to know what other peoples expectations are for the delivery date of the monthly magazine.

For the last 6 or 7 months I have not had a magazine for up to 10 days into the month and in one month nothing arrived at all and I had to request a copy be sent by HQ.

Here we are today (6th) postman has been but no magazine.

I remember it used to arrive in the last few days of the previous month and at the lastest 1st or 2nd day.

Are my expectations unreasonable ?

I got mine on Monday though I dont really bother with when it arrives. All I need is it to have arrived so I can have a scheme of the landing fees before the new month starts. Is there something else which is date critical?

My magazine arrived a few days ago, around the 2nd Dec.

Not that much time criticality especially now as any landing vouchers are dated for the following month - Thankyou Brian for sorting that out.

I suppose for me it is the irregularity that is troublesome, I kinda look forward to reading the mag on the first weekend, and if going away like to take it with me in my baggage to read.

I suppose if it was changed to be expected on say the 15th of the month then my expectations would change, but I suspect then it would still be late.
Its the not knowing too, when I hear others say , "oh did you see such and such an article" this month and I have not seen it, should I be calling HQ to say I havent received it.

How long do others wait - is it widespread that the magazine never arrives at all ?

I no longer look for a magazine - after nearly 50 years as a member I’ve thrown in the towel.
