Error message on login? Click refresh/reload on your browser

Post by steveneale » Thu Jan 03, 2008 9:47 am

After registration many are getting an error when they try to log in. Nick Allen found a workaround for this bug by clicking the browser refresh/reload button. After doing so you should be logged in.

Mod delete this when bug resolved pls

Been trying both IE and Firefox but could just not log in. Refreshing didnt help either so finally requested a new password (code?) and hey presto!
So, Happy New Year everyone. Here's to a successful and safe flying season in 2008.
Welcome all CoA Jodels, Austers etc., to the LAA!
Best Regards,
Jim Gale.

I tried to log in just now. Put in the user name, put in the pass word and pressed the log in button. Error message.

Tried again Put in the user name, put in the pass word and pressed enter key on keyboard instead of log in button. Hey presto here I am.

difficulty in finding site

Post by G.Dawes » Sat Jan 05, 2008 6:13 pm

Every time I try and find LAA I get loads of things about local area agreement etc and no PFA ? site the only way I can get on is PFA site and link across.
At least before there was only the professional footballer association and polyurethane foam association to deal with first.

Took a couple of days and a couple of identities - but I made it here.

Hope someone is going to clean up the "extra" members on this forum - if they had the same experience as me

Hi
It has probably taken at least 3 weeks to get registered (+ several name changes )
tried everything
with help !!
finally can get on the site
so don't worry if your reading this
and can't post (seems there's lots of problems still to solve)
you'll get there in the end :D

I did what Mike Mold suggested and it worked. However it does not want to check me in, even though I have it as my default when I open the internet (sad I Know!!), now that I am in Italy using a hotel wireless network.

I found another bug that has lost me about 40 minutes of a reply to the board.
Having typed up my long reply I decided to press preview and not send. It then asked for my password even though I was logged in and thus cleared my post reply form.
I must remember to always prepare a reply on Word and copy it across.

I find that when I am using my office computer, I am automatically logged in, but I suspect that my virus/anti-everthing program must be deleting the required cookie.
