World Tour of Yorkshire 19/20th June 2021! Be there or be.....boring!

The LAA Vale of York Strut is organising its second World Tour de Yorkshire on the weekend of 19/20th June 2021. Last year was a great success and we are hoping that this year will be better still.

The plan is to encourage fliers of all kinds of machine to visit as many airfields in our great county as possible.

There are many wonderful airfields in our fantastic county, most are very welcoming of any form of GA pilot and machine and are aware that this event is happening. All pilots must obtain their own PPR as required.

Overnight camping has been arranged, as last year, at Eddsfield in East Yorkshire. Eddsfield is a fantastic strip and Edd is putting on a BBQ on the night of 19th.

There is no set route; just fly the strips and airfields in your own order and meet up at about 18:00 on Saturday 19th for the BBQ and a good time at Eddsfield. Bring your own drink and tent!

Non-Yorkshire folk are very welcome of course. We are famous for our hospitality here! Come join us. We are looking forward to making new friends and renewing old acquaintances after these trying times!

The Vale of York mobile number 07434382770 will be live from 12th June if you need any help, but we must reiterate that PPR, direct with strip/airfield as necessary, is for each pilot to arrange. Numbers in Pooley’s as always!

A list of airfields that are less known and open to our visits will be published nearer the time on the Strut FaceBook page

Looking forward to seeing you over the weekend 19-29th June 2021!
