A compatible PTT .
FWIW.
I recently bought a brand new Vertex VXA 220 handheld transceiver for use in my a/c. It's manufactured by the famous Japanese Yaesu company & much less pricey than the equivalent Icom. Also it can run straight off my normal 12 volt supply, which modern Icom's can't.
It comes with a standard aviation headset twin jack adapter, but I needed a PTT for which prices vary from costly to 'out of this World'.
I therefore asked my original Vertex supplier [email protected] and he's sourced a compatible unit, item 'PTT-1', for me at $37.00 delivered U.K.

Hi Mike I apologise if I sounded condescending definitely not meant! Just I am a typical Scot and rather tight! I sourced the connections for the PTT from a rather odd way namely I asked the uk dealer for the handheld microphone wiring diagram and just copied it or rather the PTT side of it!
Great radios with a lot of great features enjoy Mike!
Regards John.
