I was wondering if anyone here could help me find a slipper tank for my CD. I have been looking for a while but with no success. I did come across a mention of an aluminium tank that someone had got approved. Does anyone have any info that they could add?

Have you contacted Fiona & Raymond at the Shadow Flight Centre, Old Sarum? They would be the most likely source of one, or plans or a kit. It's a simple enough structure. I did make a couple of aluminium ones a long time ago. They were from CFM plans, but I don't have the plans anymore unfortunately. Ali tanks weren't as light as the fibrelam originals.
Beware if you find a second hand unit, they suffered from the lower glued seams going at the front, due to fuel surge (on landing I guess). Look for signs of 2t oil around the seams accompanied by cracked paint.

Hi,
I might be able to help, I might have a complete tank or a kit that can be made up, as i purchased a lot of spares for the factory when they packed up.
