Replica Plans SE5a
Hello,
I am after a full set of plans for the 7/8th replica. Either to buy or loan and copy. The holder of the rights to the plans Museum of Flight, Canada are not selling copies of the plans due to 'liability' problems.
Any guidance as to the way ahead will be appreciated.
Regards,
David

As LAA Archivist we have a set in our files at Turweston. We would be unable to copy them all because of intellectual property reasons but if you own an aircraft and you need help to facilitate a repair then i might be able to help.

Re: Replica Plans SE5a
Thank you, Stuart.
Unfortunately I missed out on the replica recently advertised and building seems to be the only other option unless another one comes up for sale. In the meantime my Skybolt will keep me happy.
Kind regards,
David

I would guess that someone somewhere in the world will have a plan and licence pack that is unused.
The EAA Forum may be a better place to ask? http://eaaforums.org/forum.php I don't think you need to be a member, though you do need to register.
Cheers

Many thanks, Ian.
It seems as though everyone is 'liability scared'. However, I'll keep trying but I may have more chance of finding a Dodo eating off the bird table.
Regards, David.

Re: Replica Plans SE5a
Interestingly my 'Skybolt' search led me to another potential build thread - the SE5A...
Liability scares have shot down more aircraft than flak - certainly as far as designers or 'plans sellers' are concerned.
I'm beginning to get the impression that there is a conspiracy to stop people building anything..just in case.
