I'd also like one as a back-up to a planned EFIS installation. The main problem is that sensitive 57mm altimeters are rare and expensive.
The glider folk like small instruments, and probably the cheapest new option is a Winter at £500-600. Aerosonic and others are available at £1500+!
Probably worth a scour of glider sources for 2nd hand, or consider a non-sensitive single pointer altimeter, if it's a back-up instrument only.
Severn Valley Sailplanes stock the Winter instruments (Transair do too, but they wrongly describe the non-sensitive instrument as being sensitive).
There are also some electronic LCD digital options, but they look fiddly to set the pressure on.
