Searching for Taylor Mono G-BDKU

Anything in particular you are after? Anything you want to sell under £100?

Searching for Taylor Mono G-BDKU

Post by Ad Eves » Sun Jul 09, 2017 1:10 pm

This is a long shot but I'm trying to track down a Taylor Monoplane G-BDKU (PFA.1456) which a friend and I used to own until 2002. The aircraft was damaged at Bodmin after we sold it and was then sold-on via the LAA mag as a rebuild project by the Bodmin based owner (Tug Wilson) to a chap from Scotland in 2003. Unfortunately we no longer have any details of the chap who bought it back then. At that point the trail goes cold and the aircraft wasn't re-registered.

If anyone knows of the whereabouts of the aircraft now or has any useful information about what happened to it I'd be very grateful to hear from them. My interest is just that I'd like to own it again if it's available.

TIA

Have you searched G-INFO? According to that of the current owners one is on the Isles of Scilly and the other in Penzance.

Thanks Donald

Unfortunately those owners are myself and the chap I shared it with, as we were the last registered owners in 2002!

Ask Brian to put a bit in the next magazine? Only a small percentage of the membership read the forum.

I think it is currently still located in North Duffield. I saw it there during February 2016. It is owned by Condor Aviation together with two more Monoplane projects. http://condoraviation.co.uk/

I bought the KU's VW engine from them, if you are interested in it, let me know.

Thanks for the help people. Airframe is now located and Willem has the engine. Maybe there's hope!
