Pulleys Wanted

Post by Ken Fern » Thu Mar 15, 2018 7:51 am

I am looking for 4 off the old spec British pulleys PN AS103 for the Comet project. They are listed in the LAS catalogue but they don't have any. Size is 2.4" diameter with a 3/8" bore. There doesn't seem to be anything else which is close so unless I can find someone with any I will have to get some machined up. Can anyone help? Thanks. Ken.

Univair sell pulleys for a range of American aircraft. May be worth looking on their website to see if anything they have is suitable.

Thanks Tony , I will have a look on their site. I have checked on the Aircraft Spruce catalogue and the closest seems to be 2.5" which doesn't quite fit as the brackets cable guides etc are all made for the 2.4" pulley.

Could they be metric? 2.4" is an odd size, but is close to 60mm

The other suggestion is to contact Ralmark, who do a wide range of aircraft control pulleys, but not the size you do want. They do have an option for custom sizes.
Derivatives of these standards can be offered for special applications.

hi Ken,
Contact Trevor John Reynolds at Satair ....[email protected] last price I had was around £80 each.

Alternatively try A-124(NAS) which is 2" i/d and 2.5" o/d and turn the o/d down to suit .....these are a lot cheaper.
