Want to Buy: C85 cylinder

Anything in particular you are after? Anything you want to sell under £100?

Want to Buy: C85 cylinder

Post by Leesr » Mon Mar 11, 2019 8:07 pm

My beloved permit Taylorcraft here in the UK, with a C85, has a cracked cylinder, so I'm looking for a replacement.
Any avenues/suggestions?

(as an aside, I also need two A-65 cylinders, +0.015 with an EASA Form 1 or an FAA 8130) for my beloved certified Taylorcraft in the USA. They're broken as well.

It never rains but it pours.

Try Adam's Aviation for info about new cylinders from Superior.
My friend got new C90 cylinders from them.
I may have one serviceable A65 cylinder but no Form 1.

Hi Tony,

Superior only sell A65 cylinders as a complete set of four, at about $6000.00

Yes, gets expensive!
When I got my A65 top overhauled a few years ago I found I had three cracked cylinders...
Hence I have one that is is likely okay (not cracked) but I didn't get a full inspection carried out on it.

Hello Tony

Would you still have your A65 Cylinder? If so, I have got a cracked one on my Jodel and I am looking for a replacement.

Tony

Thank you for your reply. I am sorry this is only the second time I have used this system so not sure how I access the information you have PM'd.

I am very interested if it is suitable for an A65-8F, and I would be happy to telephone you to discuss.

Regards
Greg
