Nigel,
the rule is that 'for sale' items up to £100 can go on the forum, beyond that you pay to put it in the magazine. Aircraft and anything of a high value therefore go into the magazine at a cost.
You'll perhaps not agree that it's an ideal arrangement, but it does create revenue and gives a wider audience than the forum which only a small percentage of the membership participate in.
It's a system that has worked ok for a while now.

Admiral Lord Nelson had many fine qualities and occasionally it does no harm to emulate one of them.
However, in future I will ensure that my instructions are followed precisely and posts with items over £100 will be deleted.

It is sensible to review how we handle classified advertising from time to time and we will certainly take a fresh look at things when we (hopefully) launch a completely new website later this year.
In the meantime, following a request from the last NC meeting, from the next (May) issue (the April issue has now gone to press), we will be trialling free member's ads for items of £50 or less. All members have to do is email me the details (do not use the usual HQ address) and their ad will be placed in the next available magazine. I hope this will encourage members to dispose of those little items that they are unlikely ever to use but which might be of real benefit to somebody else. To save you looking in the mag, my email address is [email protected]
Rgds, Brian.
