Phil, I am the current owner of G-AWEP a JB-01 Standard Minicab.
Firstly, is yours a GY20, GY201 or JB-01 Standard version? There was an increase in the empty and AUW as the design evolved. My JB-01 Standard has a G of G range 14.9" to 17.6" from the datum (L/E wing rib 0) and an AUW of 1232 lbs.
There are also different fuel tank configurations. The original GY20 and GY201 were normally fitted with a 50 litre (11 gal) front tank with an option of a larger 65 litre tank. Some JB-01 Standard (thats UK plans built) have an additional tank behind the seat bulkhead. I have a 50 litre front and a 23 litre rear tank.
Sadly, the old girl has put on a bit of weight over the years having had some repairs and been fitted with a light weight starter and alternator. However, she can still take 2 heathly adults, a full front tank, partial rear tank fuel with some baggage and just remain in C of G limits. Two adults and both tanks full comes out at 17.9" for mine so out of limits.
Any help to you?
