Can anyone point me in the direction of the specific implementation of the rules for LAPL training?
Specifically whether it will be possible of Permit aircraft?
I've not seen any mention in the EASA Part-FCL of "Certificate of Airworthiness" in the way the ANO requires a certain amount of instruction on a CofA aircraft, however, I am not sure whether the EASA Part-ORA is finished yet?
Does anyone know?

Dear all,
The UK CAA position is that it is acceptable to use an Annex II (i.e. non-EASA) SEP or MEP aircraft for licence and class rating training that would be carried out on an EASA SEP or MEP. Since the EASA licence will be validated in the Air Navigation Order to also fly non-EASA aircraft this makes sense.
This issue is on the list of items for a group called 'FCL.002' to address in proposing the first amendments to Part-FCL. The CAA will have to abide by whatever is put into the EASA rules in due course; but for the time being the UK CAA position of allowing training towards an EASA licence or rating on a non-EASA aircraft will apply in the UK.
All LAA members should look out for the EASA FCL.002 'Notice of Proposed Amendment' when it is published and comment as appropriate - including supporting the proposal to allow this if made. John Brady and I will include an item on the website and in the magazine when you need to respond.
