Could anyone offer advice as to how best I might service my "Pull" type Cleveland master cylinders?
I have the Parker drawings, parts lists and kits of "O" rings etc. for my 10-23 cylinders.
I also have the benefit of an old broken cylinder of similar type and the innards look fairly straightforward.
The cylinders I need to service appear to be in reasonable order, with a smooth action, but I haven't dismantled them yet. I have no idea how old they are but am certain the "O" rings should be replaced, at the very least.
How do I judge whether or not the cylinder bores need honing and, if so, how should this be done to avoid ruining the bores? I have never used a cylinder hone before, but understand they need a very light touch and, possibly, only one "pass".
Any advice appreciated.

Ian,
Although I don't have any experience with overhauling Cleveland master cylinders I have recently serviced my old Electrol master cylinders (fitted to the Piper Vagabond/Clipper/Pacer). I suspect you will only need to replace the O rings to get the cylinders working like new. As long as your cylinder bores aren't badly corroded/pitted I wouldn't do any honing.
Hope this helps.

Many thanks Tony. Instinct has been telling me not to mess about with the bore of the cylinder.
