RAes - Light Aircraft Design: Methods and Tools 2012

Post by ColinC » Sun Nov 11, 2012 7:28 pm

I just wanted to remind people of this conference taking place a week tomorrow. Francis Donaldson is one of the speakers. The following is copied from the RAeS web site:

Light Aircraft Design: Methods and Tools 2012

The 2012 conference will continue with the aim of giving insight into issues of interest to the would-be designer, including both practical advice on good design practice and demonstration of computer tools for analysis of aircraft structures. Safety considerations will be covered with attention to protection of pilot and passengers.

Who Should Attend?

* Amateur and professional aircraft designers
* University students and lecturers
* Regular GAG conference attendees

Members of the BGA / BMAA / LAA are eligible for the RAeS Member rate.

Also why not visit the Aerospace & Aviation Book Fair that will be at HQ between 10:00 and 17:00.

A great opportunity to browse and buy from a range of aviation
booksellers and publishers before Christmas!

The programme will be available shortly but for more information please contact the Conference & Events Department via email to [email protected] or on +44 (0)20 7670 4345.

Can I add to that there is a free presentation on Designing, Building and Flying a Human Powered Aeroplane by Jem Stansfield (Bang goes the theory) after the the above presentation.

It is not a long one finishing at 19:30

Colin, we must work out a way to meet-up, carnations in button hole or sumat :D
