PPL- LAPL
hi I fly a Jodel 1050 and have had a PPL and Class ii medical for many years,is there any point in changing to a LAPL i still want to fly to France ? Regards Trevor

For what it is worth I lost my medical (Class II) following the dreaded heart attack, after 3 bouts of surgery and the surgeon saying you are fit as a fiddle I started going through the CAA flow chart to get the Class II back, nightmare. So in talking to a AME the LAPL came up and after investigation with minimal medical and without the need to apply for another licence I can now fly any aircraft up to 2 tons throughout Europe ! So from my view the LAPL is one of the best things to come out of EASA, even if they did copy the NPPL.
Still going to get my Class II back though.
