Bolted Aluminium Tube Construction

Post by ColinC » Wed Nov 28, 2012 2:14 pm

Hi,

re: Bolted Aluminium Tube Construction

I knew that there was a presentation on this subject at last year's RAeS Light Aircraft Design Conference by the BMAA's Ben Syson, but I couldn't find the paper on their web site when I searched for it. However, I have just been given a link to it on the EAA forum:

http://eaaforums.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=1920

Worth a read, and perhaps could be added to our own list of references?

regards,

Colin

Hi Colin, that is one of the two files that made up Ben's presentation, though the powerpoint presentation is contained within this one.

I am not sure of the IP rights of the documents from that presentation, however the Royal Aeronautical Society have not exactly hidden them.

Hi,

thanks Ian, I couldn't find the original on the RAeS site, but here is the link to the presentation:

http://www.aerosociety.com/Assets/Docs/ ... 0Syson.pdf

As far as IP goes, I'll email Ben and if he objects we can remove the link and someone can sue the EAA if they wish, but somehow I think the idea was to project the information into what limited audience there is for this sort of material so hopefully he'll be happy!

regards,

Colin
