Visicover

I've had a quote from these guys which is a fair bit less than my usual company. Has anyone used them and would care to comment on how good they are. I'm always a bit cautious about the cheapest of anything ;-)

Rob,

None personally, but I have been following discussions on the Jodel club forum:

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/jod ... s/messages

where exactly the same question came up. Nothing negative has been said and a lot of people seem pleased with their quotes and customer service. Not sure anyone had experience of a claim (fortunately perhaps!) but I guess that's the acid test.

Regards,

Colin

I made claim and was very pleased with the way it was handled. The service was professional and friendly, which is just what I needed in the aftermath of the accident. I highly recommend Visicover.

Insured my Rans S6 with Visicover excellent service and good price.
Easy to use web site for additional named pilots. Impressed.

I personally know one of the directors. Their quotes are excellent and they use the same loss adjusters etc. as the big companies. They undercut the big process by being solely Internet based with an excellent web site allowing you to tailor exactly what you want, revise the quote over and over again and get almost "instant" cover. The added benefit is that you don't have to pay it all at once! I have two LAA permit aircraft insured with them and a colleague who has a Spitfire Mk26 that I am currently testing managed to almost halve the requested premium quoted by Traffords.

Another vote for Visicover. In my third year of cover with them, the premium has reduced each year and they were already considerably cheaper than the opposition to start with. I've checked the policy wording carefully (I worked in the insurance industry for over a decade) and can find no holes in their cover. Select what you want (check the add-ons) and get a quote.

I saw today they're shortlisted for the best newcomer award so someone in their industry (as well as every customer of theirs I've spoken to) thinks they're doing something right.

I can't get a Visicover quote that is anywhere near Traffords' price.
This is for third party minimum legal cover only.
Maybe they're better on the value-added cover.
