continental oil filter screens

a65 oil change. ..and as i look at the filter screen abd the holes in it..they are huge..notcsure how big..has anyone m3asured them. ...
More to the point has anyone fitted much finer mesh...i take it oil fkows around the outside of screen and goes to the inside of screen....
Downside of finer mesh is possible pressure drop..and u can buy some very fine mesh these days....of course it would b classed as a mod...
I think u can buy an oil filter adapter kit to fitca remote filter..but space could b an issue. Hate the idea of crud wearing our engines...

How big is "huge"?
The filter should have a double screen. Fine(ish) mesh on the outside and a coarser mesh on the inside.
The inner mesh is to catch parts with part numbers stamped on them!
