Generator overvoltage

Post by dave11allen » Thu Aug 11, 2016 8:36 pm

I am stumped and would appreciate some advice!, I have a Bolkow Junior with a new Battery, a freshly overhauled Generator and a Zeftronics voltage regulator (correctly flashed) but when started the voltage keeps rising through 17 volts. - Nothing too "tecky" please.

Have you checked your voltmeter?

The Zeftronics regulator mounting MUST include a really solid, low resistance earth. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious
I have the same combination, also on a Bolkow and the voltage regulation is superb.

Peter, sorry to be so slow in getting back to you but all has been resolved. The problem lay in the switch as the field circuit was apparently earthing due to close contact with an adjacent CB.
