Tail art

Post by Dave Pitman »

Can anyone please help.

I lost the tail art on my Jodel and would like to renew. Is anyone able to point me in the direction of someone.

Regards,

Dave

Do you mean the manufacturers' logo? SAN had two versions depending on year of manufacture. CEA don't appear to have a Logo.

Or was it just the painted scheme?

We have a painted logo on the tail of our D9 (if you look for photos of G-AXKJ you should be able to see this). If you want to reproduce this, I could take a high-quality photo which I'm sure a vinyl sign maker could use to create a copy.

I have a PDF of the two SAN ones, but I think this one is a SOCIETE WASSMER AVIATION machine? If so this is the logo.

As Nick said, take this to a vinyl sign maker. They can create a decal to stick on or a mask with which to paint.

I had a bespoke Piper graphic made by a company in USA. They are called Aerographics and they use 3M vehicle wrap material with a laminate.
I thought cost and postage was reasonable ($17 per graphic).
