Landing Fees When Not Allowed To Fly

Post by AndyDrayton » Fri Apr 10, 2020 2:52 pm

I am interested to hear how many members who pay for block landing fees at their home airfield are still being charged when we are not allowed to fly?
Hangar charges, fair enough, but surely to incur a landing fee you have to take off first?
There is a thought by some, that the airfields still need ongoing maintenance, insurance etc and that is what a landing fee pays for.
All answers gratefully received!

Surely after the lock in you will need to catch up on your flying for revalidation so will still need to take off and land.
why is that pilots complain about landing fees but have no problem paying for fuel and oil plus maintenance. :D
