Just curious to know what the LAA are planning to do to prevent a major choke point in the south of England?
Here is the Goodwood UAV ACP plan which allied to the Farnborough and Solent airspace has the potential to create a significant choke point:

Re: TDA Trial - Drones - Goodwood - Choke points!
We're preparing an LAA response to this, in addition to working with the GA Alliance airspace programme manager (who we help fund), who will respond on behalf of the whole GA sector.
It's not just this TDA which we're having to deal with. This week we're dealing with TDAs and Airspace Change Proposals from Goodwood, Llanbedr, Snowdonia Cranfield, Oban and Mull, and Lands End, as well as a consultation on future RAF combat training areas. All will be responded to!

Re: TDA Trial - Drones - Goodwood - Choke points!
Unfortunately I’ve only just found out about this consultation and it closed in mid January. why are these all kept secret. CAA should be announcing them on the Skywise email.
While the TDA will be a pain, create choke points and make life difficult for anyone flying in that area, especially those out for an evening flight, it’s the principle of what their end goal is that is the real problem!! This is very serious.
Instead of the commercial drone operators who want to use BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) operations having to have their own autonomous Detect and Avoid system like those that are available on some drones and FAA certified, using some sort of LIDAR device (like a 360 degree radar) they are wanting all other airspace users to have to purchase a transponder or ADSB to be able to operate in their segregated airspace. This is outrageous that they expect other airspace users to buy equipment so they can run a profitable business, and of course it’s aided and abetted by some avionics manufacturers ready to cash in.
Let’s remover this isn’t just GA aircraft who will have to splash out, its paragliders, hang gliders, model fliers and even hobby drone fliers!!
Even for the TDA they have written to the local model club saying they have to give them 24hrs notice of each and every model flying activity inside the TDA!!!! It’s there on page 29 of the stakeholders response to the ACP.
All these trials and TDAs need to be stopped, the commercial drone operators need to be made to have an autonomous detect and avoid system in place if they want to operate BVLOS. They need to pay for it and get it certified, not try to put all the costs on other users.
