Midget Flies Sportscruiser Shock!

Post by Nick Allen » Wed Aug 05, 2009 8:05 pm

Can't help but notice that the Sportcruiser advert on page 18 of this month's mag shows a very, very short pilot...can he actually see over the cowling? He looks content enough though, so perhaps he hasn't noticed that his body appears to be missing from the neck down (if you look closely)!
He might also be wondering what would happen if he fitted a 160 hp Rotax 912, which is apparently an option for the Vans RV9 according to page 46...
Must get out more...

I noted the one about the 160 hp rotax , you beat me to it!
Don't have that article in front of me at the moment, but a couple of other contentious comments in there as well, one suggesting that "other RV's are a bit spitefull and can bite." Well mine is a pussycat and they are well known for their exemplary handling.
Also a suggestion that the one in the article (RV9) is Significantly shorter take off than all the other RV's. Well it must have the vectored thrust systen from a Harrier fitted, 'cos my 4 will come off the deck in 70yds on tarmac and for that to be significantly better it must be capable of vertical take off!.
