The MCR TWIN R, with two Rotax engines flew for the first time yesterday – 3rd March.

The MCR TWIN R maiden flight happens on Thursday, 3rd March 2011, 4:00 PM (UTC), flown by M. Christian BRIAND, former SOCATA test pilot, in the presence of the 2 designers: Pierre and Christophe ROBIN.
During this 1st flight (about 40 minutes), we have checked that engines work fine in this twin configuration, we have also paid attention to the flight controls smoothness and to the low speed flight behavior.
This design is also the result of collaborative works inside the Dijon-Darois (FRANCE) aeronautics center. Besides, the engines monitoring systems and the flight data recording
Even though the prototype is a home-built aircraft (CNRA French regulation) from a private approach of both Pierre and Christophe ROBIN, the serial aircraft will be marketed as kits by DYN’AERO. A first series of 5 units are in the process of being finalized. At the same time, with regards to new financial enhancing policy, a certified version will be released to comply with the new training and surveillance expectations.
