GARMIN 296 BATTERY AND THOSE NICE PEOPLE AT GARMIN

I dug out my Garmin 296 and plugged it in, I had not used it for a year and not in the plane for 3 years and ...... Yep it said battery not connected! Checked website uploaded latest downloads! and still the same.

So called Garmin UK and told them my tale of WOE ! Got my wallet out and nice man at Garmin said Not a problem! I'm putting one in the post ! Nice ? Battery? FREE ! Am I hearing things FREE! nooooooooo

Three days later battery arrived free!! fitted to unit and all works fine !

Thank you Nice people at GARMIN UK makes a refreshing change
