Yep, agree completely about the new website (and the emoticons - don't mean to be picky!) great stuff and long overdue, well done all.

Nice that the layout is a bit less obvious for when surfing at work!

Have you seen the new video welcome message from the Chairman aimed at prospective members on the web site? From the home page click on the link at the top of the page "about us".

Good to see developments taking place. :D

I seem to have to log on each time I visit the forum now. Is there a way to get round this - I never needed to before. I do tick the always log me on automatically box.

Should I enter from the LAA members area, perhaps?

Hi Brian et al

Like the new news bits and pictures. Just one thing Acronyms, might be good
to have a list with explanation for persons like myself and half the population. CRM? (Committee resource management)?

one of the few I know, Cockpit Resource Management. Good suggestion though, the first time an acronym is used in any piece the full name should be added in brackets.

I agree acronyms should, as John suggests, be explained at first use and this is a system I use in the mag and on the website unless it is clearly obvious - CAA for example.

Brecky

Post by mikeblyth »

Brian
Did I notice a personnel bias creeping in the news, free brecky
indeed. Are you getting short of pictures? Same ones seem to be recycled.
Might be good to ask readers to submit for viewing

Hi Mike, we have plenty of pics but to maintain the 'look' we have to cut them from the original bckground and put them on the blue bit (technical term). We expect to have a new pic for each day of the month within the next week or so.
That said, if people want to send in pictures for the files then I'm more than happy to receieve them for possible use on the site or in the magazine at some furure date.
