Aiprox corner

I've just noticed the gap between the Paralympics no fly and the corner of Stanstead TMZ is less than 2 miles wide. Is it just me or does funneling the entire East West GA route into a gap this wide look like a recipe for a mid air?

Where is Stanstead TMZ? :D

The fact that it is a narrow channel will not be lost on most pilots, therefore they will most likely have eyes on stalks looking for bandits?

As mentioned in another post, why not go through the TMZ? If you have a Mode C or S transponder you don't need a clearance, and if you don't you can ask for a clearance from Farnborough North 132.80 or Essex Radar 120.625. Better than squeezing through the gap and risking infringing either Stansted or P114, or worse.

I didn't realise you could get clearance without a transponder, I'll give them a call.
