To be or not to be (semi)aerobatic?
In this month's Safety Spot the Titan Mustang is described thusly: "although not fully aerobatic, it is permitted to carry out simple rolling and looping manoeuvres within a +4.4/-2.2g limit". Now, this seems to imply some sort of semi-aerobatic category, and I recall Frances Donaldson writing (in his Corby Starlet review a while back) that this doesn't exist, at least in LAA-world: an aircraft was either aerobatic or not. So, what's the story?
