How to store a new (LAPL) license

Post by Rob Swain » Wed Dec 11, 2013 9:56 am

I realise other people are wrestling with the CAA for issue of a new licence, but I seem to have been lucky and had my NPPL changed to an LAPL with relatively little fuss. Even got the 'right' medical last saturday.

I've a more basic question:
I've got the LAPL, a single piece of A4 with 8/16 'pages' on it, and a new NPPL in the same format.
They came with a plastic multi-page wallet to put them in.
They also came with a little piece of paper that, amongst other things, states in bold type:
"You are not permitted to cut your licence as the layout is stipulated by EASA regulations".

So how do you fit it/them into the multi-page wallet they supply? :?

Yes, frustrating isn't it? You absolutely must not cut the licence so your only option is to fold it up to fit. You might consider making a copy of it then you can cut up the copy and insert the individual pages such that they can be viewed. That's what I've done.

Happy landings!
