Travelling Abroad in a permit a/c

Just checked TL2.08. Jersey is not listed, is permission required?

Thanks,

Tim

Prior permission is required, and they've been getting more strict on this.
Easy to get by e-mail, attaching scan of Permit and C of V. It is given to the expiry date of the C of V, so you can go as often as you wish until then.
Note that Guernsey require seperate permission, but this also covers Alderney.
Note visibility is notoriously unpredictable there, and its illegal to fly in the CI Class A zone SVFR in less than 10K vis unless you have valid IR or IMCR, and they have taken pilots to court on this.
I go there often, never when there is any significant cloud, but about a third of the time vis is below 10K. I do keep a valid IMCR.
Also, remember that Special Branch notification is required not less than 12hrs before flight.

Have a good trip.
Mike.
