There is a post on another thread saying a lot of people will be forced to go the microlight route due to the high cost of avgas in C of A aircraft.

Many years ago the CAA told everyone their wings would fall off if they didn't use avgas.No way could you use 4star in an aircraft.Finally when they were force fed irrefuteable proof that 4 star was OK,(never mind the fact that every Tom Dick and Harry were flying on 4star anyway) they relented and said certain aircraft could indeed fly on 4 star. However ,they said " no way can you use unleaded because your balls will shrivel an you will catch a pox"(or something like that).
All of a sudden,when 4star was no longer available..hey presto you CAN use unleaded!(well blow me down!)
Now its a well known fact that small continentals etc do not like 100L just as its a well known fact that all

How long before we see another U turn?
Meantime any one with any savvy is quietly using a 2/3 mix in their continentals to prevent plug fouling and guess what good old Tom, Dick AND Harry are still using??
