Did anybody go?

I popped into Old Sarum mid-afternoon yesterday (in a non-vintage RV) and there weren't any vintage aircraft there. did nobody turn up or had they all gone by 3pm.

The trouble is that bikes are a bit like aeroplanes - there's no such thing as a good, cheap one. If you buy a Brompton nothing else folds as small, the ride is OK and you'll still be smiling every time you use it after 10 years and 10000 miles...

My experience suggests you need to chase. Perhaps an initial call after a fortnight and then weekly after that.

I got an Email from them on Friday - so they're still there! Wilksch are not selling engines at the moment - production is suspended until the"big bore" engine is released. WAM-160

We're pretty happy with the engine. Our aircraft is a bit slow for an RV, but still quicker than anything else I've flown. Two things I do notice is a throttle lag as the turbo speeds up and smokiness at full power. The smokiness should be improved by the big-bore engine. Wilksch have been very help...

I have a WAM-120 installed in an RV-9A. I know of 5 other WAM-120 / RV-9's currently flying, 4 of them in the UK.
