As Pilot/Owner on an EASA aircraft you can do a good deal of the routine maintenance yourself but there are limits. In practical terms you can do the 50Hr/6monthly check but you need the support of an approved organisation for the annual or for any sort of defect rectification. Se here http://www.ca...

Yes, frustrating isn't it? You absolutely must not cut the licence so your only option is to fold it up to fit. You might consider making a copy of it then you can cut up the copy and insert the individual pages such that they can be viewed. That's what I've done.
