VW carb heat

Post by Nick Allen » Tue Apr 06, 2010 3:27 pm

Has anyone got any handy photos of their VW carb heat setup, in particular where it gets its hot air from? Preferably for an engine that has its heads hanging out in the breeze rather than fully cowled.

Nick, this was the set up on my Jodel D9; a pop riveted ali heat muff with ducting going to an air box in front of the top-mounted Solex carb.

Thanks Mike, that's just what I was after. Any other variations gratefully received...

Nick, the CX4 drawings have all the details for carb heat. I can bring them to the Strut meet next week?
