Many of you will be aware that the VFR Charting functions previously carried out by the CAA have been moved to NATS. This is in line with a policy that seeks to move CAA to a position where it is not both the provider of a service and the regulator of it.
Jo Suter, the VFR Chart Editor moved from Kingsway to the leafy suburbs of Hounslow

some time ago. The Frequency Cards that come with the VFR charts are now on-line at the NATS AIS site instead of the CAA one and we can expect to see further content moving across in the future. You'll find the info by clicking on the IAIP tab and choosing "VFR & Chart Information " (looks like the "&" may be superfluous)

Not quite on topic, but related. Can we get more frequencies printed on the charts. Im not sure of the logic used whether to print the frequency, I thought it was maybe only for licenced airfields, but of course there are going to be less of those now that you dont need to be licenced to do flight training. I see Popham and Henstridge do have frequencies, neither licenced but Lee and Hinton dont for no apparent reason, there are quite a few others.

That's a very good idea Nigel, much better to have the info in one place (ie the chart) if possible.
As for the frequency cards, they will be limited by what you can realistically squeeze onto one side of A5, but seeing as the Ed36 South has 11 airfield entries with no frequency info at all (including Halfpenny Green!) there's still some space left.
Oh, and thanks for the link Mike.

I like these cards and would welcome more first contact frequencies.
The icao identifier is also great for gps use.
Single sheets save flicking through flight guides when on an extended jolly.
