With this discussion about 8.33hz radios being required in all airspace, does this imply we will lose the freedom to opertae non radio? I threw the wireless out of the Turb years ago, and have discovered a whole new world of freedom. I accept they have a place (I fly for a crust) but if this is the intent I feel we must challenge it.

Excellent - thanks Brian. My old 360 worked for years after 720 arrived, and it tends to be non LAA friendly places that get these new frequecncies first. Thus I see little real issue, so long as we can carry on as before - but mandatory radio would be as disasterous as mandatory transponder.
