Evra Propeller question

Post by ChampChump » Fri May 06, 2011 10:58 pm

After pages and pages of googling, I give up. Does anyone understand Evra numbers?

The D11 28 1B - EASA says it's 176cm and has a pitch angle of 133.

But where are the numbers we know and love?

Just wondering....'cos I'm thick.

The 176cm is the diameter and I believe the "pitch angle" is not an angle but merely the pitch in cm. So I think the prop would be 69 1/4 inches diameter with a 52 1/4 inches pitch

Thanks for that. That was about where we worked it out to today, but at first glance it made no sense - quite possibly because I'd had a moment of numerical dyslexia...and not noticed when I posted the right numbers on here either

Still cannot see why Evra cloaks all this in a special Gallic code. Because they can, I suppose.

Thanks again.
