BBC News - Jersey air traffic system 'is unfit for purpose'

Full text of Charles' Press Release is available here.

Feel free to point any of your journalist friends at it. Nice to see the BBC picking it up.

hope the adverse publicity does something to get Jersey ATC to see sense!
Of course the biggest gain would be if we could get rid of the ridiculous "prevention of terrorism" act requirements for 12 hours PPR to go to/from the channel Islands, N Ireland or the Isle of Mann. I really cannot see how this can be justified, when you can easily get on a boat with your car and no one check you, or just fly via France. Is AOPA or LAA currently doing anything on this??

You will not get rid of that requirement it is part of the treasury checks on black money going to tax havens they want to check on RICH people going there and back for tax purposes, poor people go by ferry.

Yes It is the percertion of wealth but with all that hidden stash cash you want to smuggle out to Jesrsey.
Or if you are a non dom sneaking back for longer than allowed.
I went to the IOM in my jodel and it was cheap as chips then but the ferry fare now is £450 for two and car. I would hate to think how much to Jersey.
