Paralympics Airspace Restrictions 16th Aug - 12th Sept

Post by FlyOnTrack » Wed Aug 15, 2012 11:14 pm

ATLAS Control, R112, and P111, and the extra Controlled Airspace (CAS(T)) around provincial airfields all switch off by 2300 UTC on Wed 15th August, but please be aware that Paralympics restrictions - much smaller in area, but 'different', start immediately and continue well into September.
Just for example, the Weymouth restriction continues until late on Sept 8th, and the new prohibited area, P114, based mainly on the London City CTR/CTA and extending northwards well into Class G between Elstree and Stapleford, is active from now until late on Sept 12th. A jpeg of P114 is available here:

As before, all info in on
http://olympics.airspacesafety.com/
and you can read all about the restrictions in the comprehensive guide starting from section 4.3 onwards in this pdf:

There are numerous little restrictions notified for individual events outside the P114 and Weymouth areas notified by NOTAM once the Paralympics actually start
