Northern White Pine?

Post by traumahawk1973 » Sat Jan 26, 2013 6:27 pm

Hi all.
Before getting the drawings to the Chilton DW1 (and still to find out if I could fit inside without the use of lubricant) I had been considering the MiniMax.
My questions is, as the MiniMax plans call for Northern White Pine, and it doesn't seem to be available off the shelf from the usual places, where is the most likely place find it? (and don't say 'in the woods')..
Is it more of a case of tracking it down from other sources such as boatbuilders etc? It doesn't even seem to be mentioned much. As usual I'm very grateful for your replies!

Stay safe out there!

There is a UK Minimax club but I don't have a current contact for the guys running it. However John Riley, who produces the Airbike, is a mover and shaker in the Minimax world, and the Airbike uses the same wing as the Minimax, so he should be able to offer some advice or steer you to somebody that can.
