Not seen much about LAA/RSA fly out, is there customs at Abbeville or will we have to call in somewhere on route. Can only get there on Sunday.

I can't find much info online about this, is Abbeville still happening? Is there a booking list somewhere?

The weather forecast for N France does not look appealing ............

Last I heard was. Yes it's happening, but not much if any info is available. I am going straight to Abbeville for about 12:00 UTC. Put the Hessian Hotel up, then Taxi to town for a couple of hours and back to the Airfield for the bun fight if it happens.
Abbeville do ask that you fax them your intentions, but whenever I go, the fax I sent is still in the machine.

Any other ideas? :?:

Abbeville needs four hours notice to the operator for customs .

I understand that the plan is that a number of French aircraft will be coming over to the UK for the Bonus Day at Duxford and in the afternoon they and the English contingent will depart for Abbeville where we all will have dinner. Full details were in the magazine some months ago with a request to contact Brian Hope if you wanted to take part of the French side of the event. Everyone is welcome at Duxford* and no doubt any extras will be catered for at Abbeville.

The latest predictions by the weather guru indicates that the weather in Northern France on Sunday will be much better than was originally forecast.

*You will need to book a slot.

AFAIAW There was very little info on the celebration other than contacting Brian to express an interest.

Book a slot at Duxford and a fax to Abbeville. Pack a tent and see how things go.

Exactly! Good plan. One never knows how things will pan out! Might even get some proper French food :-)

Is the dinner in Le Relais de L'Europe at the airfield?
