LAA Pilot Refresher

Ladies and Gents,

For those with iPads and Macs, I have produced a LAA Pilot Refresher iBook available on the Apple iBookstore which provides information and guidance for General Aviation pilots. This is primarily aimed at LAA pilots but is available to all, and is an interactive book containing some of the latest changes and information relevant to you.

To download and view this book you must have an iPad with iBooks 3 or later and iOS 5.1 or later, or a Mac with iBooks 1.0 or later and OS X 10.9 or later.

One advantage of using this format is you will be notified when an update is available, and you will therefore easily be able to keep up to date with changes.

It is intended as a companion to your 'one hour with an instructor''. Let me know if you have any ideas to improve this resource.

Sounds like a great idea, but what about all the members without access to an Apple device? Can it be made available as an epub or pdf file?

I may do a PDF of the book to look after non-i folk in the New Year - it will require a complete re-design to ensure all of the interactive information is included as PDF is a static format.

Congratulations on an excellent publication. I also really like the idea that it can be easily updated and redistributed.

LAA Pilot Refresher now available for download as a e-book and PDF from Google Books and Google Play for use on your non-i tablet or PC. You can view it online, or click on the 'cog' which will offer you the chance to download the PDF.

So, there are now four options:

1) *PREFERRED OPTION* Download for FREE from within Apple iBooks;

2) Download for FREE into Google Play Books;

3) View online or download PDF FREE from Google Books; or

4) Download the PDF from my website or (after Christmas) from the LAA website.
