Build Insurance

Post by mike newall » Thu May 22, 2014 6:25 pm

I did a search but didn't bring much up.

On our 7, our house insurance extended the cover to include the aeroplane, but my current insurer won't.

Does anyone have suggestions for a good value cover.

1st enquiry with an aviation insurer was over £500.......

I remember my old insurance was around £100 with an agreed value of 50k.

Mike, would you be willing to expand on what exactly is covered?

Cheers

They cover all normal perils, break in, vandalism, fire, war, however they get really tetchy about cellulose, so if you can store it elsewhere it will be much better.

I initially said I had 5 litres of cellulose in the workshop and it doubled the premium !!!!

Panel wipe, the odd jerry can of petrol - they weren't bothered with though, strange...

Thanks Mike. Any paint I have is water-borne, so no issue there.

Cheers
