Very sad news that Ron Souch passed away on Tuesday. Ron and his company, Aero Antiques, have been responsible for an inordinate number of superb vintage aircraft restorations over many years, including all manner of DH Moths, the Miles Whitney Straight, the Wicko and so many more. For me his piece de resistance was the Travelair Mystery Ship, a piece of pure art.
The world has lost a giant in the world of vintage aircraft restoration but beyond that it has lost an incredibly modest, warm and friendly human being with whom it was a pleasure to pass the time of day. Son Michael continues the legacy with Aero Antiques, and to him and the rest of the Souch family we extend out heartfelt condolences.
