Flying Permit aircraft in non-EASA Mediterranean Countries

Post by genie » Thu Sep 22, 2016 8:33 am

Does anyone know, by experience or otherwise, whether it is permitted and what it is like to fly permit aircraft in Mediterranean littoral countries which are not EASA member states? You need not include Libya or Syria as I find that these countries are too insecure and will probably remain so in the foreseeable future. Thanks.

For Morocco and Egypt you need to get permission from the relevant CAA. There is no material difference between a certified and non-certified type, you just need permission anyway; the same is generally true elsewhere in Africa.
