Heat treatment of S515 steel

Post by ColinC »

Hi,

I have some fittings made from S515 steel, that I need heat treating to S514 (hardened & tempered) condition. Can anyone offer pointers to where I might be able to get this done?

Regards,

Colin

Summit Glow in Sheffield can do.

I had this done a few months back and a few items had to be scrapped as they wouldnt harden. Others were too hard so they went back in the furnace and then became S514.

A few kilo will cost around £50.
