I would love England to adopt French time. Once our clocks go back and British Summer time is over, noon is at midday again. That was fine when people lived their lives symmetrically about noon, that is, got up at daybreak and retired at dusk. It hasn't been like that for centuries. Most people go to work three hours before noon, but finish work FIVE hours after; and then they stay up till midnight!
I resent it, when, in the winter, I find that the sun has been up for some time before I have even awoken; and yet it is dark before I get home from work. I don't mind going to work in the dark, so long as there is some daylight for my leisure afterwards!

I wonder if there are enough people like ourselves who enjoy outdoor activities in daylight versus those who spend their lives perpetually p155ed and thus like it dark because it feels more like "night life".
Whether it's flying real aeroplanes, radio controlled ones, or even cutting the grass - it's best to have daylight AFTER work, not before.
All those wasters who watch TV and regard drinking as a hobby can do that under artificial light, indoors at any time of the day, regardless whether it's light or dark all night.
The danger to school kids in the morning is defunkt now too, since Tarquin and Felicity are delivered by Chelsea Tractor every morning to the school gates and Chardonnay-Mercedes and her brother Gaz don't go to school anyway!
