applying for military markings exemption
Has anyone any experience with applying for permission from Germany for use of their military markings? I am applying for exemption from the CAA but need to show permission from the Luftwaffe to use them
Any help would be appreciated

If you are using 1939-45 marks they do not align with the marks used by the Lufftwaffe of todays Germany so why would you need their permission to use a set of marks not used. For this purpose they are equivilent to made up marks - I believe that use of Republican Spanish marks would come into the same situation. I am in ocasional communication to the ex head of CAA registrations department
who wrote these rules If you PM me I can get some explanation if you wish. There are ways around the situation.
PS dont ask for permission to use the Swastika from Germany. If you paint it on your fin, rmember if you want to fly abroard you might be breaking local laws.

Thanks for that Stuart,
But how is this for service!! I just had a call from the CAA saying that they had just been looking at this forum and thought he would give me a call explaining that they have a blanket agreement for Germany (like the USA) How good is that!
Thanks very much CAA
(sorry did not catch your name as the workshop was noisy and i have a brain like a sive)
